What is the aim of the rebellion? (What is to be ‘built’?)

The aim of the rebellion is to gain a valuable perspective on life’s values, rather then valuing the hegemony idea of a good life. From the passage he says “I said no, there wouldn’t be marvelous places to go…” and then continues to list
“Phony” values such as “making a lot of dough”, “playing bridge all the time”, “going to the movies” and a number of things which he doesn’t think are worthy values. The aim of his rebellion is find experience that give him the ability to make judges on what he should value.
