I believe that by 2013 most lessons will rely on computers, most textbooks will have a subscription service on the internet and online tests will be far more common than written tests. there has been a major move towards computing, especially with Kevin Rudd's "one laptop per child" policy, and the increasing number and quality of I.T. labs around the world. However, it is quite possible that computers may hit a "popularity peak" before 2013, and that palm pilots and Iphones will become the new thing. remember what the 1954 prediction of the 2004 computer was? here's a reminder: <img src="http://www.data-backup-and-storage.com/images/home_computer_2004.jpg" rel="nofollow">

I think that there should be some sort of video or just text that repeats what was said in a class. This would help people study eg. if a student either misses a class or just wants to see or read what was said in the class it enables them to refresh or learn. This would help learning and study.

By 2013 students having devices which premote social networking will be the norm.

Oxley needs to start accomodating for this as soon as possible as it will benifit the oxley community significantly.

There is a mentality which has been around since the internet started to be more 'social' that is are we safe? Is socialising on the internet right?

With the creation of sites such as bebo, myspace, facebook and many more, the view will eventually change and socialising on the internet will not be seen as wrong.

As a suggestion, if the budget allows it to buy a set of computers that are good with social networking (macs are good for this) and replace the old computers that are outside the liabry staff room and at the back of the liabry. Have this area as a place were people can socialise, check emails, share thoughts and ideas. In adition to this enable the wireless for students to use.

Students are currently missing out on a lot of benifits because of prejudice from certian people.

Hi Abby,

Nice experimentation and seeing things through. These traits will be very useful when you work with clients.

Cheers,
