Year 8 Animation – linking pages

Dear year 8,

Once you have created all the pages for your website you need to link them together. Below is the actionscript code you need to copy to link your pages together-

on(release) {gotoandplay (“scenename“, 1);}

 

scenename = the name of the scene you want to link to

To copy the code :

  1. select the button you want the code to be on
  2. open up the actionscript panel by pressing on the little blue arrow in the properties panel
  3. paste the code and rename the scene correctly
  4. test your animation

Saving work to the Dropbox

To submit your work you will need to save it to the dropbox on the oxley server.

Go to File > Save As

In the Filename enter \\oxley5\dropbox_08_2011 and press ENTER

save your work as:
CD_surname
Label_surname

in the appropriate folders

Saving files as jpegs

Dear year 7 & 8,

As part of your portfolio you will need to include images of the results from your Photoshop Tutorials. To do this you will need to save your Photoshop files as jpegs so you can insert them into Word.

1. Open your tutorial files in Photoshop

2. Go to File > Save As

3. Choose File type: jpeg from the dropdown menu

4. Repeat this for all your tutorial files

Inserting Your Images into Word

1. Open your portfolio document

2. Go to Insert > Picture > From File and locate your images
