Scanning documents SC, SH & MC were introduced to scanning documents on the system in the science staff office. Here’s a brief tutorial:
- Turn on the scanner.
- After logging into the computer, look for the “Sprint / FineReader” icon on the Start Menu or the desktop.
- Launch the “Sprint / FineReader” application. (if you don’t see it in the Start Menu or a shortcut on the desktop, look in Program Files for FineReader / Sprint)
- Place the document face down on the scanner’s glass surface.
- Click the top left icon and then the Preview button on FineReader.
- If all is good (you shouldn’t need to adjust the settings), click on “Scan.”
- Save the scanned document to a location on your server space.
- Note: You can use ORC (Optical Character Recognition) to turn a paper document into something editable in Word, by clicking on the second icon from the top left. This immediately converts the document.

- IR asked to have the modified PondWeb files copied to the computers in Rooms 18 and 28 so that biology students can explore local food webs.
- Compiled a folder of files to load onto student profile for MB.
Powerpoint
