Scanning documents SC, SH & MC were introduced to scanning documents on the system in the science staff office. Here’s a brief tutorial:

  1. Turn on the scanner.
  2. After logging into the computer, look for the “Sprint / FineReader” icon on the Start Menu or the desktop.
  3. Launch the “Sprint / FineReader” application. (if you don’t see it in the Start Menu or a shortcut on the desktop, look in Program Files for FineReader / Sprint)
  4. Place the document face down on the scanner’s glass surface.
  5. Click the top left icon and then the Preview button on FineReader.
  6. If all is good (you shouldn’t need to adjust the settings), click on “Scan.”
  7. Save the scanned document to a location on your server space.
  8. Note: You can use ORC (Optical Character Recognition) to turn a paper document into something editable in Word, by clicking on the second icon from the top left. This immediately converts the document.

    • Compiled a folder of files to load onto student profile for MB.
