The library consists of a rich collection of print and non-print resources, all designed to support the Curriculum or to offer reading materials for leisure-time.
In addition to the 20,000 books, students have access to a collection of 60 periodical subscriptions, the daily and local newspapers, numerous sets of encyclopedias and a pamphlet file of newspaper clippings and brochures.
The Library contains a bank of computers which are networked to the internet, to an email facility, to a printer, and which allow access to Microsoft Word – so that students have the opportunity to research and present their class and assignment work in a professional format, which is fitting to the expectations of the modern educational climate.
Library staff want to assist students and other visitors with their research. The Head of Library, Mrs Fishburn, is assisted by Ms Rees and Mrs Everingham.
Hours of operation are: Monday to Thursday 8:20am – 6:00pm & Fridays 8:20am – 4:00pm
