Welcome to Oxley College

Elvo LawnOxley College is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational secondary day school, founded in 1983 in Bowral.

At Oxley, we believe that education should prepare young people for the life ahead of them, and that means encouraging them to take on the challenge of being human to the best and fullest extent of their ability.

Academic learning is understandably at the very heart of our task and we are proud to claim that Oxley is a learning community, but not one which sees itself as a ‘results factory’. We encourage our students to be intellectually curious, strong and independent thinkers. It is from this solid foundation, we then expect our students to achieve very well in external measures. It is not a selective school, believing that all who strive to be active and positive learners can be stimulated by our approach. The quality of teaching in the classroom is the most important factor in achieving these educational outcomes. The Oxley College staff are dedicated, capable and focused on achieving quality learning outcomes for each student.

At Oxley College the learning continues beyond the classroom door. The Pastoral and Co-curricular programmes are broad, exciting and encourage each student to develop a full range of personal, inter-personal and team skills. The programmes challenge each student to respect themselves and to respect others. They also focus on each student developing the responsibility for their own actions and a responsibility to assist others.

I encourage you to visit Oxley College and I would welcome the opportunity to show you the College. We have a number of days when College Tours are available. Further enrolment details and application forms are available on our Enrolments page.

I hope you enjoy browsing the Oxley College website.
