Welcome Primary Students and Parents

Up to 60 Year Four / Five students nominated by local feeder schools will attend a one-day learning camp. An overall theme of “2020 Vision” engages the students in considering their near-term future through a range of active learning challenges.Thirty  Oxley College Year 10 students – who have already participated in a similar incursion – will serve as hosts and mentors to the younger students.

The Oxley students will make formal presentations to their younger colleagues that introduce areas of expertise and model desired communication skills. The older students will then facilitate a range of activities related to their specialties. Such specialisations could focus on critical, lateral or creative thinking; designing effective presentations; using body language to advantage; technology investigations and video editing.
