Yr 9A Baroque Videos Part 1

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Year 9 have read an article about the phenomenon ‘Funtwo’ created on YouTube when he recorded himself playing the ‘Canon Rock’ originally written by Pachelbel. He didn’t play Vai, Slash, Clapton, Satriani or Metallica. Instead he ‘rockafied’ a very difficult piece to play on the guitar from the Baroque Era. Year 9A were then asked to research a baroque composer and find two videos showing a composer’s works in a traditional style, and then a ‘revamped style.’ This is what they have come up with.

• Ischabel - Henry Purcell

Revamped

• Isaac - Vivaldi
