Last week the group learnt that its two major sponsors had decided to pull out as a result of reduced marketing budgets.  It also became aware of a change in the outlook from many businesses since the start of the new year which simply reflects the current economic times.

With the loss of the sponsorship dollars and the prospect of being unable to attract sufficient exhibitors, the financial risk of proceeding is too great, particularly in an economic environment which is only likely to get worse.

The Eco Expo team is very disappointed with this development and believe that when the economy and business confidence improves the event will go ahead as planned.
