Eco ExpoThe Southern Highlands Eco Expo will run on Sunday, 29 March 2009 and will provide practical solutions for people who want to reduce their carbon footprint.

The Expo will provide a positive and interesting view on eco-friendly living and will show individuals that their choices can make a very real difference to our environment.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see and experience a range of products and services as well as hearing from experts who will enable them to make informed decisions about ecologically sustainable living.

Broadly, the Eco Expo will focus on:

  • Water
  • Energy
  • Reducing waste and recycling
  • Sustainable transport
  • Organic gardening and horticulture
  • Eco living and health
  • Forestry, timber and agriculture
  • Ecologically sustainable building

The event, which is an initiative of Oxley College’s P&F, will be held at Moss Vale Showgrounds and will cater for all age groups – from school children to seniors. A number of innovative and entertaining activities are being planned including a junk art sculpture competition which will utilize recycled materials from Wingecarribee’s Resource Recovery Centre.
